We are travelling to Mazatlan with our bikes for 2 weeks this December (8th-22nd). We want to ride highway 40 through the bridges and tunnels. Are you allowed to ride on this highway. We were thinking of a possible taxi ride to the main longest tunnel and tsing act to Mazatlan. What are your thoughts.

I live full time in Mazatlan, yes it’s safe.
But some periods during the day the traffic is pretty bad, and there are a lot of cyclists on the road.
