Hi Sarah

Just to add to Michael’s comment the road from Srinagar to Manali via Leh is not in the area that is considered to be a security issue. There are many local and foreign tourists on that road.
Srinagar itself at times have had security concerns and as Michael mentions if required we will take appropriate steps to assure safety for the riders.

As with all our trips we will keep a close eye on the situation in Kashmir in conjunction with our local contacts to decide if we need to implement any security precautions.

Are there any specific safety precautions that are undertaken?

Nope. Each rider brings their own bicycle to the tour. Are you interested in joining us?

Looks great. To further the trans himalaya adventure, one could also add a fourth section Kathmandu to Lhasa. I rode it a decade ago and the scenery and people are certainly worthy cycling there.

Yes, as long as you give yourself time to acclimatize, it is fine.

Not at all. We have chosen a route that sticks to secondary roads wherever possible.

And cycling overthere is the ultimated dream. But now I’m 82 and I sold my bike in Goa two years ago, as finishing my cycling career. My only hope is that you can use me as a kitchenboy. My ham and eggs , pancakes and porrige are famous in Holland. Hoping to hear soon of you, with all the best wishes an a lot of succes, greetings also from Mien and Michiel, who is now riding in Brasil with the Kennedy’s and Christiano.
Ruut.
PS: uploading an Ebike seems to be very difficult in that region.
