We did move it to November hoping for better weather at the start but the pollution at that time is just too much. As to the Trans-Europa, it is always difficult to schedule a trans-continental tour and get the best weather all the way along the route. We don’t cycle on the coast until August 30th, so the high season is just at its end. The stretch before that after Venice is not a high traffic or major tourist destination. We’d love to have you join us in Europe!

I was glad to see you moved it to November because the weather was less than ideal starting in Jan…but maybe it’s the lesser of two problems. On the same subject, have you ever considered beginning the Trans Europa a week or two later? Although I have my eye on that tour, I hate the idea of cycling from Venice west in August – the worst traffic, crowding, and heat! I’m sure you have your reasons but it might be worth a look…
