Episode 6 of TDA Talks with Morris Scott

It really shifted my perspective or put another way, it reset my level of happiness in that… in our culture… it takes more and more to make me happy… when I can go and experience other parts of the world, especially by bicycle, it lets me see how little I need to be content and happy… and comfortable. It really happened at a profound level.

In this month’s episode of TDA Talks we sat down with Morris Scott – a former helicopter mechanic based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Morris is a very thoughtful guy who recounted some of the experiences of cycling with us in India and Africa that really affected him. He also shared some stories from his time as a long distance helicopter delivery man and some tips for those considering a TDA tour.

This is a continuation of our ‘TDA Talks’ series. Each month we talk with past participants, aspiring riders and TDA staff to delve into their thoughts, feelings, memories, and seek out bike touring tips and advice for our larger cycling community. Each episode lasts just over 15 minutes, and we post a new one every month on YouTube and here on our blog. You can see our playlist of the first 5 episodes here on YouTube and hope you enjoy episode 6 below!

Morris-Ji!!!
So nice to hear your voice. I so enjoyed your company on the Hippie Trail. You and Dennis were such good “bike husbands”. I hope we meet again.
Take care, Cindy

Morris is now a life long friend after we met and roomed together on the Hippy Tour of 2017. Nice to hear his views and experiences , good interview .
