COVID-19: What You Need to Know
We are looking forward to when we can once again be on our bicycles, travelling the world and experiencing all the joys that come from this. Please read the latest Covid-19 related information below as we continue to try to meet your needs and concerns in these changing times.
Relaxed Payment Terms
During these uncertain times, we have chosen to make our payment terms as flexible as possible, while still giving ourselves the clarity needed to plan our tours.
One-time Registration Fee Transfers
The $150 USD tour registration fee can now be transferred once, to another tour of your choosing, 90 days or more before the start date of the original tour you have registered for.
Relaxed Payment Terms
If TDA cancels a tour 90 days or more before the start date, you will receive a 100% refund of the registration and entry fee paid.
In the rare event TDA cancels a tour less than 90 days before the start date, you will receive a 100% credit of the registration fee and entry fee which can be used towards a future tour. If you prefer a refund, you will be refunded the registration fee in full, and the entry fee minus any unrecoverable tour costs TDA has incurred.
If you choose to cancel after your full payment of the entry fee has been made, our standard cancelation/refund policy applies.
Our customer service team is ready to answer any questions you may have about payment terms, or planning for your upcoming tour with us.
Safety & Hygiene
As we make preparations for a return to running our bicycle tours, the health and safety of our participants, staff and the local communities passed through is at the forefront of our planning. The existence of Covid-19 adds a number of new safety protocols to our current practices, and though we cannot eliminate all risk, we can greatly reduce it through setting hygiene and physical distance protocols.
We are creating new safety protocols for our tours. While they are definitely part of a “new normal”, we believe that the joy of being out on the road, cycling each day and seeing new locales is well worth the necessary adaptations we will all be making.
These protocols will be reviewed and updated in the coming months and adjusted based on local health regulations and accepted best practices. Click here to read an overview of the new COVID-19 Safety Protocols. Further detailed information will be provided pre-tour to registered riders.
