Hearing the about the Orient Express, it’s development and evolution, highlighted with “flashbulb” moments embraces those that experienced it, and those that want to. Michael, what you brought forth for me as an adventurer is the 5 S’s: SIGHTS, SOUNDS, SCENTS, SENSATIONS AND SERENDIPITY.

Your post triggered memories of our local club and it’s collective travels. We concocted our own one and multi-day trips. We designed our own kits. And in one memorable escapade, the wives of the men on a trip went to the local used clothing store and bought lingerie for their husbands to wear for an evening “fashion show” to celebrate a birthday. Seeing a respected attorney in a hot-pink Teddy, or a International Tax Expert and University Professor in a shear Babydoll and a feather Boa or a World Vision executive in a Camisole and Sidi’s is forever etched into our memories.

In recalling the past, like watching a favorite movie, or bonding over a fond moment, it allows us to plan the future we want to have, so that when serendipity presents itself, we’re fully ready to revel in it…
