I have been lucky enough to ride with him and his wife Ursula on several memorable TDA tours going back to Tout D’Afrique 2008. Rae is always upbeat, coming in with a huge smile on his face after completing a demanding 120km + day. Rae is living proof chronological age is just a number- he ‘s like an energetic 13 year old boy scout- endlessly curious and active, in an 80 year old body. Thanks for rewriting the books on aging and showing what can be accomplished at an advanced age with the right attitude and enthusiasm. Long may you and Ursula ride!
