Yesterday, rest day was a good chance for riders and staff to catch up on laundry and prepare for the riding ahead. However, today after the rest it took some of us a little longer to get into the rhythm.

The back roads that we followed from Chaumont to here were wonderful. They lead us across wide open fields, with rolls of bailed hay strewn about the golden fields, through tiny villages and over some tough hills. The scenery was stunning and it seemed to make the hills a little more bearable.
