Hi! I’m Arjuna, a documentary filmmaker, adventure lover, and long-distance endurance enthusiast. I’ve explored the world through sailing, cycling, running, and storytelling. I’ve lived on a sailboat, completed marathons, studied adventure tourism, and now dedicate my work to telling stories that connect people to nature, movement, and meaning. I’m deeply passionate about environmental protection and conscious travel. My goal is to use filmmaking not only to document adventures, but also to raise awareness about the beauty and fragility of the places we pass through. I believe stories have the power to shift perspectives and inspire change, and that’s what drives me behind the camera. Whether I’m biking through remote landscapes or filming from a sailboat in the Pacific, I’m always looking for the emotional thread that turns a moment into something unforgettable. I’m excited to join TDA and contribute to its spirit of exploration, connection, and impact.

I graduated as an environmental engineer and have worked in various areas of the field, including renewable energy and environmental policymaking. I also founded Hungary's first eco-shop, www.zoldbolt.hu, which I successfully ran for 15 years before selling it in 2024. Since then, I’ve been taking a gap year to explore what’s next—spending more time with my family, learning French, and now preparing to participate in Trans Europe. :)

I am an experienced, official licensed tour guide, I have IATA certificate for flight and hotel bookings. After being a tour guide, I have worked as travel agent for more than 15 years, organising tours, and booking other travel services. The main field for my own company is organising special group travels within Europe, and further worldwide, booking flights, accommodation and offering travel assistance. As partner of Gergo Szanyi (the tour leader on most European TDA tours) I am participating on TDA bike tours since 2010. Amber Route, 2010, part of the crew Orient Express, 2011, staff Budapest to Istanbul Trans Europa, 2012, etc. After becoming a mother of two great boys, I work more in the background in the last 12 years. In the last 12 years we established a very good partnership with TDA Global Cycling. As part of the cooperation I book flights for the TDA staff to reach the start point of each bike tour around the globe. Since 2012 I am responsible for all hotel bookings on the European TDA Tours, such as Orient Express, Trans Europa, Pub Ride, Odyssey and Viva Italia, and more to come. This summer I am very excited to have the opportunity and work again on the field, as part of the crew of the new tour, Valhalla especially because I took my part of scouting it beforehand. I am very excited to spend a few weeks together with old rider-friends, and get to know new rider-friends :-)

I see bike touring as an opportunity to slow down and bring yourself back to the essential things in life. Food, water, shelter, love, connection, space in your heart, space in your mind, movement, exploration. I believe that travelling by bike is the best way to discover our beautiful planet because of the pace of travel. It's fast enough to cover ground and cross continents, as we do with TDA, but it's slow enough to be able to truly soak in the destination you're in and everything that comes with it. The vulnerability of being alone on a bike, dressed up in bright lycra in the middle of nowhere makes you approachable and sparks curiousness and interest in the locals you meet on the road. As a tour leader with TDA, I am grateful to have the opportunity to facilitate these experiences, moments and connections.

I'm originally from Montreal in Canada where I studied business and tourism, but I have recently moved to Barcelona where cycling is unreal, even over the winter months. For the past few years, my career has been a collection of different projects and opportunities such as working as a TV host back home in Quebec, guiding with TDA and other outdoors companies as well as running my own vanlife conversion business. I've always loved getting around on two wheels, for some years, my focus was to go as fast as I could while I raced Ironman triathlons as a semi-pro. Nowadays, I still enjoy riding my bike, but a little slower, and looking around much more.

My best memory on tour is without a doubt when both my parents joined the 2019 Tour d'Afrique as riders to cycle the last two sections of the tour, from Vic Falls to Cape Town. It was such a precious privilege to be on sweep duty and get to ride with both of them through the namibian dunes.

As a tip for future participants, I think the best mindset to come onto a tour with is one of gratitude. We are all so privileged, both staff and riders, to be on these trips that being grateful for this life we get to live is an attitude we must cultivate.

See you on the road!

20. Twenty. Just a number. But when we talk about 20 years, it is a significant chunk of a lifetime. It's been 20 years since I started long-distance bike touring with TDA. 20 years of cycling. Riding a bike for longer stretches alone brings calm to the craziness, and it feels the best way to relax for me. Going somewhere, pushing the pedals, moving forward, feeling the wind, while rearranging my thoughts in my head. It is a therapy. For the body and the soul. In these twenty years I became a frequent traveler, I visited many countries on four continents, crossed countless borders, and – most importantly – made many many friends. Friends from all over the world. Literally from every corner of it. And of course, I assisted these friends to do what we – cyclists – like to do the most: pushing the pedals, moving forward, feeling the wind… I am glad I did. I would not change a thing. And... I am ready for my next therapy session! See you there! Peace Gergo

This is my first TDA tour and I am very excited to be joining the group and also returning to Scandinavia after living there for a while aged 7! I have time now to travel and see more of the world and there is no better way to do it than on a bike. I cycled at a competitive level in triathlon and have since cycled across the Alps, the Dolomites, Italy, Vietnam and many other trips in Europe. I also love hiking, running and open water swimming. I am very keen to experience a longer multi-week tour by bike as it's a wonderful way to visit other countries.

"The very core of man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun" Chris McCandless Into the Wild Extremely happy and grateful to have participated in and cycled the equivalent of twice around the world on some 17+ incredible TDA trips, Coast to coast, all EFI, on 6 of the worlds 7 continents. First rider to have completed all of the TDA 7 Epics. Special thanks to the TDA and their amazing, dedicated staff for making such trips,. and the quote above, possible- there is an incredible amount of work that goes into scouting, logistics, bookings, vehicles, staffing food, etc etc. Nobody does it better than the TDA, No one runs tours like they do on roads less travelled. It's a wonderful lifestyle, Eat, Sleep and Ride. Learning lots every day from wherever we are on the planet. " The world is my classroom, I am it's student and class is in session!" Thanks also to the many wonderful, strong willed fellow riders who have helped shape each unique journey and make it special. From ages 25 to 78+, you are all very inspiring and show us what is possible, proving that age is just a number. Super inspired on the recent Journey to the East tour where over 50% of the riders were between 70-80 years young! Looking forward to the next adventure! Let's ride!

- Have been enjoying bicycle tours various places around world since 2001 (in between work requirements). I became aware of TDA Global Cycling tours in 2019. The list of tours made my imagination explode and my spirit soar. -Was able to join the final two weeks of GAR '21. The staff and cyclists that I met on that TDA tour were the most inspiring community of cyclists that I had ever traveled with. - Retired from a career at sea as a merchant marine captain one and a half years ago with a simple plan to enjoy cycling on TDA tours for as long as possible. The cyclists I met on that TDA tour confirmed my thought that these are my people. TDA Global cycling tours rank high on my bucket list.

I am very keen on the outdoors, hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, skiing and of course cycling, both road and mountain. I was a legal assistant before I retired in 2013 and since then biking has become the main focus of my thoughts. In 2014, Dave Morriss (my husband) and I did our first supported bike tour with Adventure Cycling, riding south through Northern California. In 2015 we began self-supported biking, our first tour starting in Manchester, England and ending 16 weeks later in Paris. In 2016 we spent 5 months touring in Australia and New Zealand, and in 2018 we returned to New Zealand for another 3 months. In 2019 we did the TdA Hippie Trail tour along with our friends, Rae and Ursula Simpson who have done many TdA tours. Since then we have done more self-supported bike tours in Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand, France, Spain and Portugal. We are now in our mid 70s and, rather than lugging all the gear around on our bikes, we think that the extra support from TdA would be a good idea.
