Content Creator for Cycling Tours

We want you to produce videos highlighting the places we cycle, the people we meet, and the intrepid cyclists who undertake these daunting adventures.

Through your videos, photos, blogs, and social media posts you will be sharing the experiences of life on the road, and the challenges and rewards that come along with it. You will tell the story of the group of cyclists from the 4 corners of the globe who come together for an epic challenge pedalling on our ambitious cycling expeditions.

Who we are

TDA Global Cycling operates cycling tours in over 80 countries, including the iconic Tour d’Afrique from Cairo to Cape Town – a 10,000 km, 4-month cycling odyssey. We take amateur cyclists on unique, memorable, and often transformative bicycle adventures.

Watching layers of history reveal themselves in Europe, or pedalling past ancient baobab trees and plunging waterfalls in Africa – the potential for rich experiences (and great video content) is everywhere.

Qualifications

• Video production experience, including strong video editing skills
• Photography skills and experience
• Creative or editorial writing experience is an asset
• Social media skills and ability to cultivate an online audience is a plus
• Good interviewing skills is a must
• Can commit to contracts ranging from 2 – 4 months in length
• Must be fluent in English, be at least 18 years old, and have a valid passport
• Must supply your own camera, lenses, filming gear and laptop

What You Get

• US$1,300 per month salary for 1st assignment (US$1,900 for 2nd, and US$2,600 for 3rd)

• Lots of the content you create can be used to build your portfolio

We are not looking to create travel commercials. We are looking for someone highly creative and resourceful who can create engaging travel stories.

• 1-2 minute shorts summarizing an aspect of the experience (like this)
• Country / regional summary (like this)
• Informational / How-to videos (like this)
• Sit down interviews with cycling participants (like this and this)
• Piece-to-camera style with a story arc (like this or this)
