I did my first long distance cycle trip about 40 years ago and fell in love with the notion of travel on two wheels. Since then I have done a number of cycle trips including a couple with TDA. Duathlon and team triathlon distance: sprint. I would like to increase back my endurance level. Excited to cross over the Northern part of Europe.

Originally from the UK (I also now have Irish citizenship), I moved to Poland in 1992 but since I retired in 2014 have spent much more time in South Africa, which is now our main home. I mainly spend my time on the golf course as it is my biggest passion but love bikes and A to B cycle tours, my first being Innsbruck to London when I was 18. I completed the Pub Ride 2 in 2018, which was my first tour with TdA. I have also done the shortened Trans Europa in 2021, after COVID restrictions eased, and the Garden Route section of Tour d’Afrique in 2022 as it is my ‚home turf’. My last tour was the NZ of Trans-Oceania, also in 2022. Looking forward to getting back on the touring bike.

I am a casual cyclist, who has participated in several TDA Global Cycling trips, including the Bamboo Road, part of the Africa ride, and part of Korea/Japan ride. I am coming with my husband, Gonzalo Pastor. We are slow, and get to know the sweepers really well. We are really there to make all the other riders feel good! Looking forward to reuniting with some riders, and meeting new ones.

I am so excited to join this ride! I am married and have 2 adult children, their spouses and a 14 year old grandson, all of whom are the light of my life! In addition to biking, I love everything outdoors including skiing, snowshoeing and am a Special Olympics Coach. Because I am retired, I spend my time volunteering for Hospice, am on the board for a youth empowerment organization and therapy animal program. Life is grand and I look forward to this wonderful adventure with all of you!
