Greetings from Nanyuki

Greetings from Nanyuki a mile (one and half kilometer) north of the equator After some very tough riding we have arrived back in the world of internet, cell phones and banks. Today ride began in Isiolo with about a 25km climb of 1,250 meters and then a 50km descend with the wind in our backs, with Mount Kenya covered in places with snow, to our left.

The riders are doing well though the wear and tear of two months on the road is visible. However all are in good spirits and feeling good about their incredible achievements. You can read more from their individual web site. In two days we will be in Nairobi for a warm reception from Kenyan authorirites and then we are off to Arusha. But all this will wait. Tommorrow after crossing the equator we will have a party and celebrate not only the crossing of the equator but also our 59th day on the road, one day short of half way.

Regards, Henry
