Around 180kms from Livingstone

Most cyclists reported back on a long but pleasant day. 180kms along a straight black top road with a beautiful tailwind and the thought of a rest day at the Victoria Falls spurred the cyclists along and the mood in the camp this evening is one of quiet anticipation.

The accommodation tonight is not likely to win any stars – ever. The rock hard ground makes it impossible to get the pegs in despite
whacking it at full force with a mallet. The clearing is in a long, straight line and the tents are all stacked military style. There is only water for drinking but the strong air of perspiration and cycling socks go unnoticed as we all huddle around for supper.
