Valentines

A short ride took us from the bush camp into yet another rest day in the small town of Bahar Dar. Everyone was up and gone early this morning- making use of the cool temperatures and overcast skies and running on the nutella sandwiches that Miles gave us for a Valentines breakfast (Wow, in 2006 it was porridge with red food colouring!). The riders travelled over rolling hills, passing through villages and covering the tarmac with ease. It seemed that it was market day everywhere today as we passed throngs of people walking with heavily laden bags of some sort of produce. Right now…..the sick are resting, people have headed off to town, bikes are being worked on by Dean and preparations are in order for the Valentines Party tonight and a welcome sleep-in tomorrow.
