Farewell to Kenya

Today marked our farewell to Kenya, as we entered our fifth country of the tour- Tanzania! It was a non-race day, an opportunity for both the expedition riders and the racers to enjoy the first day of this beautiful country at their leisure. With paved roads, cooler temperatures and Kilimanjaro in the distance, who wouldn’t??

Jaclyn, our newest staff and resident photographer, was able to capture some of the riders against the magnificent backdrop, following along in our other new addition, a Toyota Fortuner, named Baobob. Our Toyota has truly added an element of luxury and ruggedness to the tour. Baobob’s history includes traveling from Timbuctu to Capetown, finishing upon fabled Table mountain. Now it is undertaking the role of filming vehicle for the rest of the 2007 Tour d’Afrique.
