Dr Luke says!

Today we find ourselves camping, once again, a short distance from the Red Sea. With most cyclists in camp by 14:00, some decided to head for the mountains behind us whilst most decided it would be better to try and clean off some dirt in the Red Sea.

There has been a steady increase in the number of medical questions over the last few days. At present, my standard response to: “I have a sore butt” or “You know, my knee is a little sore, what should I do?” is “have you ever cycled this far?” And, so far, the answer has inevitably been no. I am still waiting for the, “I have a sore back, would you mind giving it a rub?”

Actually I am quite enjoying the calm, medical calm that is. With our mobile village to grow to over 80 people and the terrain to get worse, I am quite happy to smile and say your butt will get harder, your knee will survive and you know, I wouldn’t mind a back rub either!
