Our new Silk Route Friend

We’d like to introduce our new friend, X? Yáng Yáng (known rather blandly in the English adaptation as 'Weslie'). The little goat has been ubiquitous in Eastern China – his image graces inflatable games, plastic toys, hand towels and school notebooks. X? Yáng Yáng is everywhere. From the seat of the bike we pass him at least a dozen times a day, usually in the form of plug-in kiddie rides in front of coke stops. From what we gather, the cartoon is a huge sensation is China; it tells the story of a little goat and his pals who live in 'Green Green Pasture' and are always trying to outwit their nemesis, a bumbling wolf named Hu? Tài Láng. According to our translator, X? Yáng Yáng is brave, smart and clever – he seems like the perfect mascot.
