Tour d’Afrique at the Paris to Ancaster bicycle race

We will be at the Paris to Ancaster bicycle race this weekend. That’s Paris, Ontario – not France!

This race is named after the famed Paris – Roubaix spring classic race (in France). This is a different type of race. While a few professionals do show up, the organization is mostly focused on amateur racers and recreational riders, with race distances of varying difficulties up to 70km. It takes place on a mix of pavement, dirt, and mud. The race is known for testing riders with difficult early spring weather. When I was there in 2011, we experienced rain, snow, and hail during the three hour race.

If you are in the area, come by and visit our booth. We will be set up inside the community center at the end of the race:

Ancaster Community Center
385 Jerseyville Road West, Ancaster, Ontario (near Hamilton)

Saturday, April 25 2015, 12 to 5pm.
Sunday, April 26 2015, 12 to 5pm.
