Episode 5 of TDA Talks with Anton Tasič

In this episode we chat with Anton Tasič who spoke with us from his farm outside Maribor, Slovenia. Anton is an avid cycle tourist – having completed some of our most ambitious cycling expeditions across Africa and North America, as well as a number of longer tours on his own.

When he isn’t on a cycling tour, he is at home with his family, tending to his miniature donkeys (that’s right!) and potbelly pigs.

This is a continuation of our ‘TDA Talks’ series. Each episode lasts 15-20 minutes with host and TDAer Shanny Hill speaking with past participants, aspiring riders and TDA staff to delve into their thoughts, feelings, memories, and seek out bike touring tips and advice for our larger cycling community. Enjoy!

Ah Anton… I loved occasionally riding ‘with’ him, because he doesn’t try to ride beside you, or draft, or compete. He’s just good, steady, quiet company on the road, the best! Anton played music for us every morning, just one song, could be anything…. Slovenian national song to Cohen’s Hallelujah. Great way to start the day! Even in his clogs, few are stronger or more consistent riders than Anton. Much love…
