Episode 10 of TDA Talks with Stephen Warren

After taking part in 11 science expeditions to Antarctica, Stephen Warren, a Professor of Earth Sciences, had a ridge named after him. In addition to his personal accomplishments, he also has some excellent insights into the current state of our world and its changing climate.

He talked to us about cycling around the world (the shortest possible way) and host Shanny Hill asked him what obligations he thought tour operators like TDA Global Cycling and individuals have to reduce their carbon footprint. His answer might surprise you.

Stephen also explained some of the fascinating science on how water levels rise due to climate change – it’s not as straightforward as you might think.

TDA Talks is our ongoing series of discussions with our past participants and staff. Sure, we talk about cycling – these folks have lots of tips for first timers – but we also talk about other topics they know well. The show is a great chance to share the knowledge of our community and to demonstrate the diverse interests and backgrounds of the cyclists who follow us to different points around the globe.

Below is episode 10. You can see our playlist of the previous episodes here. Enjoy!
