Episode 18 of TDA Talks with Laundon Peacock

The filmmaker behind ‘Cycling Cairo to Cape Town‘ (a 25min film about our iconic tour) stopped by our virtual studios last month. Laundon Peacock is an up and coming filmmaker who runs a video and story telling company called LP Visuals. Laundon was chosen as one of our first video interns in our ‘Best. Video Internship. Ever’ campaign. He didn’t disappoint. The film he produced for us has been viewed thousands of times and we are very proud of what he produced. It does a great job of capturing the characters who undertake this tour, the route through Africa that we follow and the people we meet along the way.

Laundon shared some stories of lost equipment and how he overcame these setbacks to produce the film as a one-man production crew travelling alongside the cyclists. He also shared tips for future content creators who may want to work on a TDA tour, and he had some excellent advice for amateur photographers who hope to capture great shots as they cycle along the route of our tours with nothing more than a smartphone camera.

More episodes in our series can be found here. Enjoy!
