A traveler, wanderer, and seeker of new landscapes. Since retiring from an international career, I’ve spent my time living, traveling, and cycling through off-the-beaten-path places across Africa, Asia, and South America. I’ve completed the TDA South American Epic and the Silk Route, with a few more rides ahead before lining up for the Path of the Jaguar. Looking forward to the miles, the landscapes, and the people along the way. ¡Happy trails!

I am a partly retired veterinary cardiologist who lives in Uk but spends a lot of the time in France. This is where my partner Peter lives. I live in a National Park in UK and love mountains and hills on my bikes, on foot and on skis. When not working, travelling & doing sport, I enjoy socialising, spending time with family & visiting London and other European cities for some culture!

British, based in French Alps. Spend lots of time cross country and ski touring in the winter and riding the many local cols the rest of the year. With my partner, Vicky, over the last ten years I have completed many bike trips in Europe, Japan, Morocco, prior to sampling very successfully the TdA experience on the 2025 Golden Buddha ride. Now looking forward to the Jaguar trip.

I am a great outdoor enthusiast: hiking, all kinds of skiing, sailing and of course cycling. Now that my career as a nephrology doctor is over, I can do what I always wanted to do: long bike rides! The Route of Empires was the first one this spring. And I will continue with the Golden Buddha Ride and after, the Tour d'Afrique. As you can see, in Quebec we can cycle all year round!!! See you soon in Saigon .

I'm more of a general adventurer than a hard core bicycle enthusiast even though I've ridden TDA's Tour d'Afrique, Orient Express, Silk Route, Hippie Trail and half of the Trans-Europa from Tallinn to Venice. It's been life changing. Thanks Henry and staff!

I did my first TDA tour in October-November 2025: Island Hopping Japan. It was an incredible experience, both for the riding and for the amazing new friends I made. I didn't really know what to expect on a TDA tour and the trip far exceeded my expectations. I was told by others that TDA is a kind of cult for lycra wearing addicts, and it must be true, as I signed up for this tour while about half-way through the tour I was on. Although it is still more than a year away, I'm already dreaming of TDA lunches in Tunisia and Algeria....

“I absolutely love these tours, and can’t think of any better way to travel. The harder the journey, the greater the rewards! Not only do you see a country, you smell it, taste it, breathe it, a total emersion.”

“I loved the adventure from start to finish. The great staff, daily routine, variety in countries and landscapes, friendly locals and some magical spots we stayed and visited made it a trip to remember.”

“The tour exceeded my high expectations...the combination of the Mayan ruins and Spanish colonial legacy was fascinating and the support of the TDA staff...was exemplary.”
