I’ve completed the TDA South American Epic and the Silk Route, with a few more rides ahead before lining up for the Path of the Jaguar. I live in a National Park in UK and love mountains and hills on my bikes, on foot and on skis. I am a great outdoor enthusiast: hiking, all kinds of skiing, sailing and of course cycling. Now that my career as a nephrology doctor is over, I can do what I always wanted to do: long bike rides! The Route of Empires was the first one this spring. And I will continue with the Golden Buddha Ride and after, the Tour d'Afrique. As you can see, in Quebec we can cycle all year round!!! I did my first TDA tour in October-November 2025: Island Hopping Japan. It was an incredible experience, both for the riding and for the amazing new friends I made. I didn't really know what to expect on a TDA tour and the trip far exceeded my expectations. I was told by others that TDA is a kind of cult for lycra wearing addicts, and it must be true, as I signed up for this tour while about half-way through the tour I was on. Although it is still more than a year away, I'm already dreaming of TDA lunches in Tunisia and Algeria....
