Windhoek Rest day

TkMoams and the Deutscher Entwicklungsdienst (DED) were the recipients of bicycles during a press conference and welcoming party held in honour of the cyclists today. Engen had sponsored a feast of snacks to lure the cyclists to their party. The Bicycling Empowerment Network(BEN) facilitated the handover of the bicycles. Both TkMOams and the DED are involved in the treatment and care oft of patients with HIV/Aids in Namibia. TkMoams also received bicycles from the BEN last year and they reported back that considering the challenges of long distances and the often-inaccessible roads, the humble bicycle is making it possible for them to attend to more patients in less time. So while we are cruising through Africa on a huge adventure, these care workers are using their bicycles to ease the suffering of their people.
