Raising Money on the Tour d’Afrique

Earlier three of our riders took a few minutes to describe the organizations they are raising money for. It was fantastic to step back for a moment and learn about the work being done by some of our riders to raise money for very worthwhile causes. After paying for the Tour d’Afrique, and all its related costs, these participants, and many others, took more of their time and money and put it into organizing a way to raise funds for the following causes. We encourage you all to investigate their work and consider contributing.

Howard Fairbank

Raising money for WaterCan and the African Conservation Fund through his professionally produced newsletter with unique photography that is compiled through the day-to-day encounters Howard has on the Tour d’Afrique. Please email to africa.cycle.trip@mweb.co.za and indicate that you would like to receive the first free newsletter.

Adrie Frijters

Raising money for the ALS Foundation. ALS is a muscle disease that they have not yet found a cure for and a disease that has personally affected people in Adrie’s life. To learn more and to donate visit www.adriefrijters.nl.

Markus Widmann

Raising money for the German branch of Child Fund International who are working to build schools on Zambia. When in Lusaka, Markus will visit the project that the German branch is working on. To get more information and to donate visit www.tourdafriue2007.de.
