An Unusual Day

Today had an unusual start. Midway through breaking down camp, we had a Dutch film crew come in and do several interviews with the Dutch riders. It was like the circus was in town. The reporters were easy to pick out as our 63-strong group is finally looking familiar to me.

The previous day we had bike stands set up to fix bikes if needed. It turned out to be more maintenance than repairs, as most people were cleaning chains and asking questions about their bikes.

Following the Nile has been a nice change. After so many days in the desert, the color of vegetation has been a welcoming site. As has the amount of locals along the road; we get an opportunity to see farmers fast at work.

Next stop is Aswan.
